In the river for as long as he can remember, he learnt to read water before the pages of a book. He speaks as casually about the river's water level as he does about Hegel's maximum systems. He came to the base very young, full of enthusiasm and willingness to learn, and has been an official guide since 2025. A true philosopher of life (when he wants to), and we could not be happier to have him with us.

Always the quick wit, in the front line to party in good company, he gets surprisingly serious (or almost!) when he puts on his life jacket and helmet.
12 years ago, he took part in a River Rescue course organised by Totem and from there became part of the tribe. An excellent guide, he follows the seasons around rivers in Patagonia, Nepal and Italy.

He paddles, skis, climbs and has the green thumb of an experienced gardener. A lover of good, healthy food, he knows the Aosta Valley better than most locals - every nook and cranny, every path, every stream. After so many years with us, he has developed an unerring eye for everything that can be improved in the base. If something escapes others, he has already noticed it... and probably fixed it.

He is not only an experienced mountaineer, who grew up between the peaks of the Pyrenees and the Alps, but also an extraordinary river guide. From Patagonia to the Grand Canyon to the raging waters of the Himalayas, he has navigated rivers in every corner of the world.
At base he faces a real daily challenge - coordinating all the hotheads of the Totem Adventure Tribe... and he always does it with a smile!

The backpacking leader is always on the move. If he does not teach the rules of river play, he is either exploring a new river in a remote country or you find him hanging from a paraglider in search of his next adventure.
